The Studio

A puzzle box made of light and leaded glass

We started QuantumSpinFrontier in a small studio just off Danks Street, obsessed with one idea: what if solving a puzzle felt like assembling a cathedral window? Every level is a grid of jewel-toned panels bound by black leading lines, and your job is to spin them until a single beam of light finds its way home.

There are no timers, no energy meters, and no pop-ups begging for your attention. Just you, a beam of orchid light, and the quiet satisfaction of a pattern clicking into place. The campaign is a one-time optional unlock of AUD $6.99 — buy it once, keep it forever, across every device signed into your account.

  • Offline play — no connection required after download
  • Colour-blind friendly palettes and adjustable contrast
  • Cloud save across phones and tablets
  • New level packs added free every season
How to Play

From install to your first solved window

You will be bending light within ninety seconds of opening the app. Here is the whole loop.

  1. 1

    Download & open

Grab the 38 MB build from the Android store and launch it. No account or sign-up is required to start the first 30 levels.

  2. 2

    Rotate the panels

Tap a stained-glass panel to spin it 90°. Each colour bends the beam differently — sapphire refracts, emerald splits, ruby reflects.

  3. 3

    Guide the beam home

Line up the orchid beam so it travels from the emitter to the glowing receiver. Partial paths shimmer to show you're close.

  4. 4

    Unlock the frontier

Clear a chapter to reveal the next stained-glass world — from Tidal Nave to the Amber Observatory — each with its own light rules.

Refraction physics

Light behaves like real leaded glass.

Every panel carries a hand-tuned refraction index, so beams bend, split and dim exactly the way stained glass would in an afternoon sun. Six colours, six behaviours.

Player Reviews

What the frontier feels like

A few notes from players around Australia and beyond.

I play three levels every night before bed to wind down. The stained-glass look is gorgeous and the no-ads promise is real — I finally finished world four last week.

The refraction puzzles genuinely made me think. Ruby-reflect chains in the Amber Observatory had me sketching solutions on paper. Best AUD $6.99 I've spent in ages.
Marcus L.Fitzroy, Melbourne · February 2026
As someone who's colour-blind, the contrast and pattern options are a huge deal. I can actually tell the panels apart, which almost no other colour puzzle lets me do.
Devon R.Fortitude Valley, Brisbane · January 2026
My kids and I take turns on the Zen levels on the tablet. It syncs perfectly so we never lose our spot. The Friday packs keep us coming back.
Hana K.Waterloo, Sydney · March 2026
Tiny download, runs smooth on my three-year-old phone, and no battery drain. It respects your time and your storage. Rare these days.
Tomás V.North Adelaide · December 2025
The soundtrack paired with the light-bending is oddly hypnotic. I meant to play for ten minutes and lost an hour to the Tidal Nave chapter.
